State of Accounts Report

The state of accounts report is a summary report that displays a summary on the number of accounts, categorized account balances and the number of dormant account.

How to access the state of accounts report report

To access this report, go to Savings/Savings Reports/State of Accounts Report and the following screen appears:

• Note:
  
  1. The report will displays the total number of Savings accounts at the start of the period, new savings accounts, closed savings accounts, and the available savings accounts at the end of the period.
  
  2. For the dormant accounts, the report displays their number at the Start and End of the period, and the total of new and reactivated dormant accounts within the period.
  
  3. The report also generates the total number of accounts classified according to the total balance available for each account. The total balances are grouped in five categories basing on the defined four categories.
  
  

• Report date from:  In the drop down box, select the date when the state of accounts report will start, e.g., "01/01/2017" and in the to drop down box select the date when the report will end e.g., "01/01/2017". 
• Report currency: From the drop down select the currency in which the report will appear, e.g., "UGX". In case the report has transactions in other currencies too, then LPF will convert all other transactions in to the report currency.
• Branch Code: Choose a specific branch codethat you want to be reported on from the drop-down or tick the Check for all option to include all branches.
• Product: Choose a specific savings product that you want to be reported on from the drop-down or tick the Check for all option to include all products.
• Geographical Area: From the drop-down select a specific geographical area  that you want to be reported on e.g Kampala.
• Client category 1: Choose a client category 1 optionthat you want to be reported on from the drop-down or tick the Check for all option to include clients in category 1.
• Client category 2: Choose a client category 2 option that you want to be reported on from the drop-down or tick the Check for all option to include all clients in category 2.
• Client category 3: Choose a client category 3 option that you want to be reported on from the drop-down or tick the Check for all option to include all clients in category 3.
• Cost centre: Choose a specific cost centre  that you want to be reported on from the drop-down or tick the Check for all option to include all cost centres.
• Gender: Choose the gender  from the drop-down or tick the check-box Check for all to include both sexes.

Set categories for account balances in report currencies:

Specify the balance categories in the set categories option below. These will be ranges of savings balance amounts as seen below:

• First Category: Less than: In this category enter the savings balance amount between 1 and this amount e.g "10,000". This range becomes the first category.
• Second Category: In this category, enter an amount e.g "100,000" to set a range between the maximum of the first category (10,000) and this amount to form the second category.
• Third Category: In this category, enter an amount e.g "1,000,000" to set a range between the maximum of the second category (100,000) this amount to form the third category.
• Fourth Category: In this category, enter an amount e.g "10,000,000" to set a range between the maximum of the third category (1,000,000) this amount to form the fourth category.

• Note:
  The system will generate a fifth Category that will be all balances above the maximum amount set at the fourth category i.e amounts above 10,000,000
